SUNDUS SAAD
Sundus Saad (b. 1989) is a South African-Arab fibre artist who also specialises in both on- and off-loom weaving.
After an 11-year award-winning career in advertising, Sundus made the switch to being an artist and weaver.
She grew up in Malawi (aka “the warm heart of Africa”), after which she returned home to Cape Town in 2005, where she has lived since.
Sundus has exhibited in the Art School Africa x Cape Racing Summer Exhibition 2024/25, the Cape Guild of Weavers 75th Anniversary Exhibition 2025, Sasol New Signatures 2025, and the Art School Africa Summer Exhibition 2025/26.
She is a finalist in the Sasol New Signatures Visual Art Competition 2025.
